Curious Cows

The cows have been very curious of the large gas pipes and strange things appearing. Who wouldn't be if your home was invaded? They are enjoying green grass now as it has rained enough short rains to green everything up. we wern't sure we would be able to drive evrywhere but we could check most areas. They have all the pipes welded together except where the large gaps are. It is good they don't interupt a man's business. We missed out on seeing the welding going on but they probably wouldn't have let us get too close to that anyway. Next step will be the digging of the trenches and to bury the pipes. That is where John was concerned about the safety of his cattle but so far they have been so clean and careful I'm sure they have a way of getting this done without the cattle having a chance of stepping into a hole and breaking it's leg. They have their rules and seem to go by them to a tee. One day John saw a man guarding a gate to keep the cattle from one side from mixing with the ones from the other side. John stopped to talk to him and told him the cows on both sides were his so it didn't matter if they mixed. The man said he was told to guard that gate and not let them mix so that was what he had to do. John got such a kick out of that he has to tell everyone about it.

nice that they are being respectful of folks' property and livestock.

It's amusing that a guard was hired solely to segregate the cattle!

Great that you've had some rain! I think it's wonderful that they were taking goof care not to mix the cows...even if they are all of John's. :)

Interesting. Not everybody goes by the book. Nice to know some folks do.
