How Lucky Could I Get?

Not lucky to have  a dentist appointment, but lucky to get the best examining room in the house. All the rooms have big nice windows facing a big yard with green grass and the most beautiful oak tree. I always watch the squirrels or birds while I wait to numb or for the dentist to come in, but today was a special scene. Two baby owls posing in the fork of the tree and are they big. The staff said they have been there a month and a half and have grown so much and so fast. The fork was directly in front of me so I was able to get full advantage. They say they don't see the mama much anymore so they think she is weaning them. I've never been around owls except the ones that fly out of trees at the ranch and the two that landed on a wire in back of the house in the night and carried on a whooo conversation with each other.

Visits to the dentist are one of the few things that truly terrify me, but watching baby owls through a window would definitely make the experience a little more enjoyable.

I wonder if those owls know they are doing a community service?

Well it sounds like the scenery kept you from dwelling to much on what was going on in your mouth. That is a good thing. We had a big owl that sat on our roof and whooted all night.

I wish I had your dentist! We have some friends who have been watching a Mama owl with her two baby owls in an old tree trunk in their back yard. They have some really nice pictures of them too.
