Lou Madalyn Was The Star

She flew up the little incline in a bright blue jeep. Was she dressed to the hilt for the reunion? She had on jeans and tee shirt, boy style hair cut and no make-up. She did have on a small diamond necklace that probably cost a bundle. She has a ranch south of here, a lake front house in another area, and a home in another town. She told stories that kept us in stitches of her growing up years. After we tended the cattle this morning while waiting for the house water tank to fill I told John lets go check out Lou Madalyn's old home place in town. She had told us the house is in ruins and sinking due to her Mama putting roof after roof on top until it is so heavy it's sinking. It was true. You can tell it was a beautiful home in it's day. Her mother was a teacher and Lou Madalyn was an only child. She said her daddy kept some kind of liquor in the fridge. She was a cheerleader and had her little short skirt on ready to go to the football game. She took a big swig of the liquor as she passed the fridge. On the way her mama said I smell-----. Oh I took a swig and her mama said oh my goodness. John said her mother always put little pleated skirts on her and fixed her hair just so. I'm thinking she may have had a swig before coming to the reunion. Only four ex-students showed up and two spouses but now they want to have another in six months.

Reminds me of the "dandelion juice" Mom used to have stashed in the back of the refrigerator.

I like Lou, you need one, if you are not it, to liven up the place, even if it takes a swig!!!

Love it!!

(I would bet that you Paula, are actually the one who liven's up the place) Just a guess, after meeting you.

She sounds like a good subject for a funny book or short story. I'm glad you had a nice time, even if there weren't too many of the class there.
