Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

Have You Ever Been Involved In A Time Capsule Event?
I haven't but I am now. My deceased husband and I always wanted to build a memory sidewalk. Make a square for the day we bought the house and when each child was born and graduated from high school and such important things as those. Work and responsibility got in the way so we never made it. As I think I said before the church we go to is remodeling and went down to the bare boards and to the dirt. They found initials on the boards under the sheetrock. So now we are writing things on the new boards before the new sheetrock is installed. The exciting thing is they are going to install a time capsule into the wall to be opened in 100 years. John and I are still thinking what we want to write on a note to put in it.

How exciting to be part of this new time capsule. I'm sure you'll come up with something interesting to say.
Oh most definitely....DO write something!
I think they should save some of the OLD stuff and make a mural of sorts for those they found.
Never made a time capsule, although the lumber on any additions we made probably had notes and cutting reminders behind the sheet rock.
The prospect of including something special in the time capsule - would take some thought.
I like the idea of time capsules - they are really intriguing. I can't think of what I would want to say.
You should definitely tell something about yourself and your family.
I haven't been involved in one, but I have always been impressed with folks years ago that did. Now I think that is a super idea for the church! I know YOU will have a great note.
PS: I was thinking probably a poem! (smile)
That is pretty cool.
Our blogs are time capsules of a sort, aren't they?
